How to Choose Your Lucky Feng Shui floor numbers

With urbanization around the world, more and more people move into highrise buildings with up to 100 floors and even more.  How to choose a floor number that could enhance your luck?

Below is a list of lucky Feng Shui floor numbers for people with different Chinese zodiac animal signs.  These floor numbers will enhance the luck of the element of the animal sign of the resident or tenant.   When there are multiple people living in an apartment, choose the floor number based on the animal sign of the owner or breadwinner of the apartment.

You can apply the same principle to choose the street address number too.

In traditional China, if a fortune-teller did not charge a customer, the customer likely would cry.  It was not tears of joy.  It was tears of fear.

Practitioners in the Chinese fortune-telling circle think they are in the business of "leaking heaven's secrets".   They have set up some business norms or code of ethics on how to charge, who should not be charged and who should be denied service.

RULES FOR FEE CHARGING 算命收费行规

1. Charge the rich and famous more 富贵者多收
 -- because people in these social levels have more influence on society.  "Leaking heaven's secrets" to them will create more unintended influence on the society. 
2. Charge the poor less 贫穷者少收
-- the influence of this group of people is less than the rich.  "Leaking heaven's secrets" to them will create much less influence on society. 
3. Reading cannot be free  算命不能不收钱
-- according to fortune-telling business norms, free reading is like giving away one's life to the customer. The fortune-teller may pick up customer's karma debt for "leaking heaven's secret" without compensation. This becomes interfering with others' destiny for no reason.  It is also inauspicious to the customer who will owe a karma debt to the reader.  This karma entanglement may cause unnecessary reincarnations to repay debts.

RULES FOR FREE READING  此类命不收费

1. People whose life is about to end 阳寿将尽者不收
-- because fortune-telling norm does not collect money from dead people (or soon-to-be-dead). 
2. People who are facing unavoidable major disaster 大祸临身不可避者不收
-- major disaster refers to major injury that may cause death or whole family may perish. 
3. People who will not have good luck for remaining of their lives 再无好运者不收
-- their lives will get worse and worse.  So no charge.

RULES FOR REFUSING READING  “四不算”

1. No forecasting of other people's private matter/ privacy 不测他人的隐私
-- this is to avoid exploitation and prosecution of people unknown to the reader
2. No forecasting of baby gender for pregnant women 不测孕妇怀胎性别
-- with modern ultra-sound technology, this taboo is no longer relevant.  The original intention is to prevent abortion of female fetus.
3. No forecasting for gangsters  不测凶徒
-- the fortune-teller may get beaten up or killed if not careful when servicing these people.  Other than doing persuasion indirectly, it is not smart to "leak heaven's secret" to these people.
4. No service for insincere people 心不誠者不測

-- some people treat fortune-telling as a joke or for entertainment only.  Stay away from these people and not waste your time.

Similar belief about fee payment also extends to Feng Shui, date-selection and other divination methods.  The practitioners believe in the exchange of energies-- advice for compensation.  Without the exchange means:
1.  A karma debt is created which is negative to both parties. 
2.  The practitioner is interfering with other being's business.

The amount of payment is not important but the flow and exchange of energies is.  Symbolic payment inside a red envelop is common if a practitioner does not want to charge a poor customer or close friend.

Some practitioners also believe that non-paying consultation will enrage customer's karma creditors (ghosts/ spirits) for interfering with their karma debt collection (by inflicting pain and misfortune, but are stopped by the reader).  These karma creditors will collect their debts from the practitioner instead of the customer.  The practitioner will pick up customer's the bad luck and misfortune.

House and People Violating Grand Duke or Tai-sui

This post is based on 2015 "Grand Duke Talisman charity drive" with updates for 2017.

If you have read my old message about functions of Grand Duke, you know that there are two Grand Dukes watching over your shoulder, counting the good and bad deeds that you have done and executing rewards and misfortunes accordingly. This is a major rationale that donation to get your Grand Duke talisman.  When your talisman is grounded with a charitable deed, GD is less likely to execute any misfortunes due from your karma account. Another rationale for donation is the exchange of energy-- using a charitable deed in exchange of protection energy from Grand Duke.

For 2017, I have added the topic for house violating Grand Duke, the cure is either avoiding activities/ earth-digging or using the Grand Duke talisman in the Grand Duke location.

2017 GRAND DUKE GENERAL TANG JIE   唐杰
2017 is Ding-you or year of fire-rooster. Grand Duke for the year is General Tang Jie who was a military officer in Song Dynasty (618- 907).  Tang was born with super physical prowess.  He was humble and respected by local folks.  He had passed the government military officer exam and become a military officer.   

General Tang was ordered to stop the bandit disturbance in the South.  He had neutralized the bandit chief and decapitated 58 bandits.   Local people were no longer under the threat of plunder and killing.  The government had rewarded Tang with higher rank and silver.

丁酉太歲生於唐代安鄉〈今湖北省安鄉縣〉，名唐杰，字子文。自幼練習武藝，因而身體碩壯。更有一身特殊奇大的力量，在挑擔和舉重時表現突出。然而也受嚴格的禮教，所以待人十分謙讓，為地方人敬重；遇到有人仗力欺辱鄉民時，大家就請唐杰出來主持公道，唐杰只要出面，紛爭就自然平息下去。後來唐杰順利地在科考中考上武舉人，使他出生地大感光彩。因武舉人比一般文舉人還困難，不但要考武藝兵學，也要考基本的文科。當時，南方盜寇動亂，唐杰奉旨到南方平定寇亂，斬殺為首的賊子多人，又乘勝追殺賊寇於桃花岡，斬賊首等五十八人，立了平定賊寇的奇功，使鄉民不再被搶奪殺害。因此，朝廷賜蟒服、銀兩等給與獎勵。唐杰的功勛和德行，受到普遍的推崇。

2017  GRAND DUKE TALISMAN FOR BAZI CLASHES

Ding-you or year of  fire-rooster can be challenging for people with Gui-mao or Xin-mao pillar in their Bazi charts because these pillars "fan-yin" or "battle" with both the stem and branch of the Grand Duke.  It is especially serious if your day-pillar is  Gui-mao or Xin-mao because it means something may happen to you or your spouse.

In addition, besides the year branch, if any of the branch in your Bazi chart has a mao-rabbit, that branch is also clashing Grand Duke.  The effect may be seen from the people and events represented by that branch location.  For example, if you have a mao month branch clash, the effect may happen to daymasters' parent or sibling.

 Here are the four groups of people who need Grand Duke Talismans:
 1. "Fu-yin" or same animal sign of Grand Duke 值太岁-- people with rooster sign
ROOSTER : years born-- 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981,  1993, 2005, 2017  
Symptoms: obstacles, stagnation or running "reverse" instead of forward and not suitable for travels.  Damages in career and wealth luck and relationship.  Rooster also "self-penalizing" itself when runs into rooster year.

 2. "Fan-yin" or "clashing" the animal sign of Grand Duke 冲太岁-- people with rabbit sign
RABBIT: years born-- 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011  
Symptoms: big fluctuations in luck, wealth, career, relationship and health; traffic accident, hurt by metal object, sickness, surgery, losing competitions/wealth, moving, death,  negative romance, quarrels and etc.
SPECIAL NOTE:  Mao-you clash is a powerful clash involving wood and metal battling-- negative romance causing serious financial loss or even death or traffic accidents and surgery (injuries by metal).  If your chart has zi-rat, it will get even worse.  If your chart has both zi-rat and wu-horse, pump up your life insurance policy because you have all the 4-cardinal clashes elements-- zi, wu, mao and you.

 3. "Hai" or "prosecuting" the animal sign of Grand Duke 害太岁-- people with dog sign
DOG:  years born-- 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970,  1982, 1994, 2006  
Symptoms: backstabbing at work, bad interpersonal relationship, jealousy from others, emotional problems, success slips away in the last minute and low Feng Shui luck.

 4. "Po" or "damaging" the animal sign of Grand Duke 破太岁---- people with rat sign
RAT:  years born-- 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008
Symptoms: interpersonal relationship problems, negative romance, marital problem, backstabbing, skin and nervous system problems-- due to over-confidence and extreme/ radical positions.

 GRAND DUKE TALISMAN FOR FENG SHUI REMEDY
1.  House violating Grand Duke

In 2017 ding-you year, if your house faces You-rooster mountain or W2 (262.5 to 277.5 degree, west) direction, your house is said to be "violating Grand Duke."  House violating GD will affect the overall luck, health and well-being of the people living inside.  The remedy is either avoiding movements, construction, earth-digging and demolition there or put up a Grand Duke talisman facing W2 direction.  The opposite side of Grand Duke is Year-breaker (Sui-po, E2 or east).  This location should avoid digging and activities too. 

Even with the GD talisman, if you need to do construction, you still need to do a date-selection for an auspicious date and start digging on a non-GD direction and finish last on the GD direction.  I have checked through the year of Rooster and compiled a construction calendar with dates that can over-ride the effect of Grand Duke, San-sha and 5-yellow star.  Please look for info in this blog in the near future. 

2.  Desk violating Grand Duke 
If your desk or wherever you sit for an extended time faces You-rooster mountain or W2 direction, you can put up a Grand Duke talisman there for protection.  It is not auspicious to face the Grand Duke direction.  It weakens your competition power in business/career and examinations. However, if you arrange your seat so that W2 will be at your back (and put a Grand Duke talisman there), you will get Grand Duke as support and is good for competition and business. 

3.  Moving direction violating Grand Duke
If you move to a new house or residence, the relative direction from your old house to the new house is facing W2 grand Duke direction, you are considered "violating GD".  Remedy will be choosing an auspicious date to move or at the least, choose a different route of traveling, like driving to a different direction in the beginning, take a break for 15 minutes or more and then to the final destination.  This will convert the original GD direction to a non-GD direction. You may carry a GD talisman too. 

4.  Marriage direction violating Grand Duke
If you get married and the relative direction of your new marital residence to the old residence is facing SW2 grand Duke direction,  you are considered "violating GD".  Remedy will be choosing an auspicious date to move or at the least, choose a different route of traveling, like driving to a different direction in the beginning, take a break for 15 minutes or more and then to the final destination.  This will convert the original GD direction to a non-GD direction.  You may carry a GD talisman too.


 GRAND DUKE TALISMAN OFFERS

What is "house violating Grand Duke" in Feng Shui?

If you have read this blog for a while, you must have seen topics on individuals "violating" or "clashing" Grand Duke or Tai-sui.  In Feng Shui, a house can "violate" or "clash" Grand Duke too.

According to Chinese metaphysics, Grand Duke is the annual ruler based on the relative movement between Jupiter and earth.  The relative orbit location that Jupiter projects to earth has a strong energy called Grand Duke.  One should not disturb this energy with activities and "moving earth" (digging) or disasters and misfortune will follow.

Ancient Chinese has humanized this astrological force and assigned 60 historical figures to each year in the 60 Jia-zi years Chinese calendar cycle as "Grand Duke" of the year.

This Grand Duke energy is based on the Chinese zodiac animal sign (means earthly branch).  So if your house facing is on a heavenly stem, your house will be free from this violating Grand Duke business-- one less hassle to worry about.  This is why experienced Feng Shui practitioners would prefer choosing a house with a heavenly stem facing.

The opposite side/direction of Grand Duke is the "year-breaker" or Sui-po.  It is also not to be disturbed with activities and "moving earth".

The opposite side of Grand Duke is "Year-breaker".  E.g., for 2017, GD is you-rooster and YB is mao-rabbit.

4 TYPES OF FENG SHUI VIOLATION OF GRAND DUKE
1.  Grand Duke at the door and house facing
The facing of a house is at Grand Duke or Year-breaker direction.  This includes door facing GD even if the facing is not in the GD direction.

2.  Location violating Grand Duke
Function-specific rooms like office, kitchen, bedroom locate in Grand Duke location

3.  Moving earth in Grand Duke direction/ location
"Moving earth" means digging, construction or remodeling here.

4.  Marriage movement
If the traveling direction from home of the bride relative to the new marital residence is facing Grand Duke direction, this is considered violating Grand Duke.

5.  Home moving movement
If the traveling direction from old home the new residence is facing Grand Duke direction, this is considered violating Grand Duke.

Most info on Grand Duke location just gives you the major 8 directions like South or SW.  This will make more houses violate Grand Duke than the reality.  Today is your lucky day, I take out a table from the course manual of my

Who can live in a haunted house or house with bad Feng Shui?

Haunted house refers to houses with supernatural events like ghost disturbance.  House with inauspicious Feng Shui is a building in which the residents suffer bad luck, illness, misfortunes, accidents and the like.  Certain groups of people can live in these houses without suffering any negative effect.  In terms of Feng Shui, we say these people's energy field (qi) is strong enough to overwhelm the negative energies or "sha-qi" (killing energy).

The people below can handle or live in houses with ghosts or bad Feng Shui:

1.  Military people
These include soldiers who handle weapons and direct combat.  It does not include support people like mess cooks or military people who only do civilian duties.  Military people posses strong "sha-qi" because of handling weapons that take lives away. 
2.  Butchers and hunters (also executioners)
These people kill animals like pigs, horses, rams, deer, cows and the like.  They carry "sha-qi" like the military people that spirits and ghosts are afraid of.  The used butcher knives and guns are good enough to scare spirits away. 
3.  True religious people
People like priests, monks, nuns and so on.  This does not include those who are not sincere and use religion as a front for other purposes.
4.  Congregation of young people like a youth hostel or dormitory
Young people are strong in "yang" or positive energy that can neutralize negative or "yin" energy like ghosts.
5.  Individuals who are strong in "yang energy"
People who are not afraid of walking in the dark and with unusual high level of courage are said to have a high level of "yang energy".
6.  Individuals who have "hard" lives
People who either have a tough destiny of "hard" or poor lives or those who have a Bazi chart that jinxes people around them.
7.  Righteous people
Ghosts and spirits will not violate people who are like a sage or who have not done any negative thing or who do righteous activities all the time.

Equal Opportunity Affair Terminator

This article title sounds violent.  It is actually a very humane and peaceful way of terminating affairs.  Even Arnold Schwarzengger could have recommended Maria Shriver to use this "terminator".

Earlier this year I have posted an affair fix using a metal rooster.  But this fix is gender specific-- fixing males only.   In this post,  I will show you an equal opportunity affair terminator.

This fix is for those (male or female) who wants to keep the unfaithful partner for any reasons, like needing a meal ticket.  It will work for both male and female "offenders".

In Chinese metaphysics, affairs are attributed to one's "peach blossom" star.  Therefore, to fix affair problems, the logical step is to work on the offender's "peach blossom" location within his/ her residence.

"Peach blossom" is a pretty fragile star and dislikes plants with sharp needles sitting there.  Therefore, to eliminate an unfaithful spouse's affair or preventing affair from happening, is to put a plant with sharp needles, like a cactus plant,  on his/her peach blossom location.  This will weaken his/ her peach blossom luck.

Peach blossom location is calculated in terms of one's Chinese Zodiac animal sign.  Read below for details:

Animals that can see or sense ghosts

Humans have 5 senses-- sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch.  Some animals have more than 5 senses.  They could sense magnetic field or different dimensions that most humans, other than psychics, are incapable of.

Below is a list of animals that can sense ghosts or spirits:

1.  Dogs 
 Sometimes we can see dogs seem to bark at nothing at night.  Dog can sense higher frequency than humans.  They can "see" ghosts.  I have a psychic student who can "see" spirits told me that her dog welcomed a ghost into her house instead of chasing him away.  Chinese believe that black dog can scare ghosts away.  Adopt a black dog for protection if you are afraid of ghost.

2.  Cats
Cats are nocturnal animals with sensitive eyesight.  They can sense and distinguish if a ghost is friendly or unfriendly.  Be careful when you see your cat suddenly raise all its hair.  In Asia, it is  very inauspicious to see a black cat in a funeral, especially if the cat walks on the deceased.  People believe it will turn the dead body into a walking dead. Adopt a cat if you want your own "ghost detector".  Tabby cats that look like mini-tigers are also good for scaring ghosts away.



3.  Cows
In traditional Chinese culture, cow is considered  a working animal with psychic ability.  Some Daoist priests use cow tears to activate a person's "psychic eye" to see ghosts.  They believe cows can also "see" ghosts.  Some cows can even foresee their own death and drop tears before entering the slaughtering house.

4.  Pigeons
Pigeons are extremely sensitive to magnetic fields. Ghosts are "yin" or negative energy.  Vengeful ghosts are especially "yin" in nature.  It may be incorrect to say pigeons can see ghosts.  Pigeons probably are spook by ghost's negative energy and fly away erratically.

5.  Koi fishes
Similar to pigeons, Koi fishes do not really "see" ghosts but are sensitive to the negative ghost energy.  Chinese believe Koi fishes have inherited the blood of dragon.  Dragon does not "see" living things but sensing the soul directly.  Hence Koi fishes can sense souls or ghosts.  Koi fishes, especially the old ones (30+ years old), can scare ghosts away too.

6.  Human babies
Human babies and toddlers can see or sense ghosts because their primal consciousness is not yet "polluted" or socialized by adults.  Sometimes a baby suddenly cries hysterically with no reason.  This baby probably has seen a "stranger" (ghost) showing up that his parents cannot perceive.  The Chinese people advise young parents not taking their babies out at night to avoid running into ghosts. Sometimes a baby may be scared so much that they may "lose" part of their spirit or soul and becomes sick.  Daoist ritual may be performed to "call" the missing parts of this soul back into the baby.

Date-Selection Factors to Consider for C-Section

According to Chinese metaphysics, the date and time a baby was born reflect the energy imprint of that baby.  This energy imprint reflects the endowment from heaven (cosmic energies), human (from parents) and earth (environment) dimensions.  Bazi or 4-Pillars is one way of decoding this endowment throughout one's life.

There are expectant parents in Asia who hire Bazi practitioners to do date-selections for their C-sections (caesarean section).  The Bazi charts of the dates selected will hopefully maximize the future potentials and fortunes of the newborn babies.

Below are some major considerations for selecting a C-section date:

The resulting birth or Bazi chart should:
1.  nurtures ("wang") baby's parents-- making the family more prosperous
2.  have a stable marriage
3.  have promising children
4.  have a healthy life with few illness
5.  be mostly good 10-years luck periods, especially for school and career

The gender of the baby must be known before choosing a date because the luck period calculation is different for male and female.

For the potential birth day:

Year pillar:  reflects ancestral situation.  There are at most 2 choices (if birth day is around borderline of a solar year) or  no choice on this pillar.
Month pillar:  reflects the locations of parents and sibling.  There are at most 2 choices (if birth day is around borderline of a solar month). You may have more than 2 choices but risking a premature birth.
Day pillar:  This is the location of the daymaster (chart owner).  Day-branch represents spouse palace.  There are more choices available for this pillar.
Hour pillar:  location of daymaster's children.  The choices are limited by the choice of day pillar.

I occasionally provide date-selection service for  C-Section.  This is a very labor intensive process even I delimit the potential days to a 2-weeks period.  This means 14x12 = 168 possible charts to read and rank.  Top 10 charts will be chosen and then select one based on the requirements of the parents.  So this service could be pretty expensive.

Suffering Bad Luck? Easy ways to improve your luck

When things do not go your way,  success slips away in the last minute, people backstabbing you, appliance breaking down, losing money, accidents, illness and the likes keep popping up......or simply put, "Life sucks!"  You are in a bad luck period.

Chinese metaphysics considers "yang" or positive energy brings vitality and good luck to a person.  Bad luck is caused by an excess of "yin" or negative energy.  The remedy is to increase "yang energy" and reduce "yin energy" around and inside a person .

Below are some easy ways to add more "yang energy" into your system to improve your luck:

1.  Go to places with crowds--  Living people is a major source of vital or yang energy.  Places like shopping mall, university, concert hall and parks.  But avoid hospital and cemetery which have more yin than yang energy.
2.  Hug or hold babies--  Babies have more yang energy than adults.
3.  Sit under the sun before 3 pm--  Sunshine is a good source of yang energy.  11am- 1 pm has the most yang energy of the day.  Just be careful of not getting sunburn.
4.  Swim in the sea before 3 pm--  sea water has salt that is good for washing away negative energy from your body.  Bathing in hot spring is also great too.
5.  Take a bath with lemon leaves water-- to wash away negative energy and cleanse your body.
6.  Visit people who are successful (i.e. in good luck period) and avoid people in bad luck period.
7.  Go to celebrations like wedding, birthday (esp. for newborn baby) parties and avoid funeral and visiting the sick.
8.  Hug a healthy tree to absorb its energy.  But this must be done before 3 pm or the tree will absorb your energy instead.
9.  Walk with your bare feet on the beach (on ground is OK) or on the grass to absorb some earth energy and release your excess yin energy.
