Bazi: Missing Transformation Stars ("10 Gods") Secrets

The followings are the characteristics of natal chart with missing one or more of the 10 transformation stars ("10 Gods").  The info is pretty accurate and hard to find.  Today is your lucky day!

Missing Resource Star 印星 (Zheng-yin/ Pian-yin)

1. daymaster (DM) has chronic sickness during childhood and reluctant to take medicine
2. lacks karma with mother and older generation (except special profile DM)
3. has poor memory and absent-minded
4. likely getting job that DM has not studied for in school
5. lacking social support; likely not working for government or corporation (except special profile DM)

Missing Peer Star 比劫 (Bi-jian/ Jie-cai) 

1. DM is likely a loner with no support and few friends, 
2. is self-dependent, individualistic with strong character
3. DM is likely depending on skill, craft and service-type work for survival
4. DM has no or few siblings
5. is introvert, inactive, prefer quietness, not sociable, reclusive
6. prefers doing things alone and not cooperation or partnership
7. unwilling to seek help or making contacts with others
8. is not suitable to do sales, management or people-oriented business
9. does not value friendship or family relationship
10. rarely speaks; self-centered, shows no concern for others 

Missing Output Star 食伤 (Shi-shen/ Shang-guan) 

1. started talking late and slow reaction during childhood or with speech problem that will improving when entering output luck period.
2. is persistent in executing tasks; rarely changing behavior and thought patterns except when entering output luck period (will have career, thought, residential or investment changes) 
3. is good at keeping secrets, inarticulate, won't babbling nonsense
4. is careful in speech with reserve and unwilling to gossip
5. dislikes sports, singing or dancing (or simply not good at these activities

 Missing Power Star 官星 (Zheng-guan/ Qi-sha) 

1. dislikes rules and restrictions, lawless, egoistic

Bazi: Secret Dating Guide for Men

This dating guide shows you lists of  woman daymasters (DM or person) born in certain days of the month that men may want to think twice before taking the marriage vow with these women.  Women born in the days listed below are likely to be dominant over their husbands.  Of course, there are men who like to be directed or bossed around by their wives.  Then the lists below will be great for them.

Check the appendix at end of article for instructions on how to figure out anyone's day branch with their birthdays.

1.  DM with pian-cai (-wealth) day branch
-- Jia-xu, Yi-wei, Bing-shen, Ding-you, Geng-yin and Xin-mao days
DM with pian-cai day branch is opinionated,  practical, calculated and dislikes being directed and likes to be the boss. 

2.  DM with shi-shen (-output)/ shang-guan (+output) day branch
-- Jia-wu, Yi-si, Geng-zi, Xin-hai, Ding-wei, Bing-xu, Ren-yin, Gui-mao, Wu-shen and Ji-you days.
DM with shi-shen/ shang-guan day branch is very independent, smart, like challenges with diverse pursuits; dislikes nor accepts criticism and remembers who has "wronged" her forever. 

3.  DM with bi-jian (-peer)/ jie-cai (+peer) day branch
-- Jia-yin, Yi-mao, Bing-wu, Ding-si, Wu-xu, Wu-chen, Ji-chou, JI-wei, Geng-shen, Xin-you, Ren-zi and Gui-hai days
DM with bi-jian/ jie-cai  day branch is hot-headed, impulsive, impatient, energetic, belligerent and challenging authority.

Fortunately, the lists above are mostly limited to STRONG daymasters who are more likely to be opinionated.  For the weak daymasters, they are likely to compromise with their spouses.

1.  Go to http://bazi-calculator.com/
2.  Type in the birthday and gender (F or M) in the input table in the left side.
3.  Click "CALCULATE" box
4.  Check the left color table below the input table.  See the example here:
5.  The third color column (counting from right to left) is the day branch of the person.  It is "Geng-shen" in this example of someone born in June 24, 1990.

Jersey color determines the 2016 NBA championship?

Note:  In 2010,  using the 5-elements theory of Chinese metaphysics, I had found a strong correlation on the influences of jersey color on World Cup wins, especially if two teams are of similar caliber.  It seems the result of 2016 NBA Championship proves the point.
 
Chinese 5-elements theory states that the world is made up by the interactions between 5 type of energies;  metal, water, wood, fire and earth.  The relationship between these 5 types of elements are as follow:

• Metal is represented by white color. It is controlled by fire (red), drained by water (blue or black) and nurtured by earth (yellow or brown).
• Wood is represented by green color.  It is controlled by metal (white), drain by fire (red) and nurtured by water (blue or black).
• Water is represented by blue or black color. It is controlled by earth (yellow or brown), drain by wood (green) and nurtured by metal (white).
• Earth is represented by yellow or brown color. It is controlled by wood (green), drain by metal (white) and nurtured by fire (red). 

The final match of the 2016 NBA Championship game was a close match with Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors.  It is a rare game 7 in the NBA Championship history.  The score differential between the two teams are very small throughout the game.  This shows both teams are pretty close to each other in terms of competency.

Cleveland Cavaliers wore black jersey whereas the Golden State Warriors wore white.  Black or deep-blue is water in energy-nature and blue is metal in Chinese 5-elements theory.

According to the theory, metal produces water (becomes liquid) or is drained by water when it produces water.  If everything is about equal between these two teams, the Warriors lost the edge in the "jersey competition".

The Warriors had lost the game in the final minute.

The Warrior should have picked yellow, brown or green jersey if they want to beat the Cavalier's black jersey.

Maybe the Warriors should consult me before picking the color of their jersey when they play their next championship game.

Bazi: 10 transformation stars ("10 Gods") on void 十神空亡

This time we discuss application of the "void" concept in Bazi.  It's void theory is based on the pairing of stems and branches and not borders between two mountains or palaces as in Feng Shui.

10 heavenly stems and 12 earthly branches are the "ABC" of Chinese metaphysics.  So almost every subject like Bazi, QMDJ, date-selection, divination and etc.,  have something on "void branch" due to the imbalance of this "10 stems" vs. "12 branches".  Two of the branches will be left out with no stems to pair with them.  These two branches are called "void branches".

There are 60 binomials (pairing of a stem and a branch of the same polarity or gender) categorized into 6 groups or "Xun".  Each xun has 10 binomials.  Members of each of these 6 groups have the same two void branches.  For example, members of the Jia-zi group ( Jia-zi, Yi-chou, Bing-yin, Ding-mao, Wu-chen, Ji-si, Geng-wu, Xin-wei, Ren-shen, Gui-you) have the same Xu and Hai as their void branches.

"Void" means nothing or disappeared.  The effects of a branch sitting on void is usually minimal or discounted by over 50%.

Void branches are classified in terms of:
--  year, month, day and hour branches
--  10 transformation stars
--  5-elements
--  "breaking bridge"
--  "horseback"
--  "mutual exchange"
--  and more

Here we just cover the 10 transformation stars or "10 Gods" on void.  For further info and remedies, please consult my "Destiny and Luck Management with Bazi" courses.  The following table is an excerpt from this "Destiny and Luck Management" course manual. 

TRANSFORMATION STARS AND VOID

Another way of looking at void branch is to check the branch in terms of the transformation star it represents.  For example, if the star is zheng-yin (resources) sits on void branch, it stands for lack of help or relationship with mother or older females or lack of or reduced academic progress for that period represented by the pillar.

Transformation star in void:	INTERPRETATIONS
Jie-cai 劫财 +peer	sibling rivalry; no or little help from siblings; problem accumulate wealth; easily over-spending/wasting money
Bi-jian 比肩  -peer	Male jinxes wife; female has poor spousal relationship; few siblings; sibling rivalry; no or little help from siblings
Shang-guan 伤官 +ouput	Orphan; marital discords or divorce; easy to miscarriage for female
Shi-shen 食神 -output	Likely to die prematurely; can mitigate the negative effect  with clash or combinations
Zheng-cai 正财 +wealth	Little or no relationship with wife; failures and rough life during old age
Pian-cai 偏财 –wealth	Little or no relationship with father; father is of little help or die prematurely; does not have “non-regular” wealth luck (like gambling, stocks and shares)
Zheng-guan 正官 +power Qi-sha 七杀 –power	Male has few or no sons; female has poor relationship with spouse; Can’t excel in careers; avoid public positions (government jobs); destined to leave hometown
Zheng-yin 正印 +resource	Problem to have academic success or power (authority); poor or no relationship with mother
Pian-yin 偏印–resource	Suffer obstacles in school or academic career; diffcult to achieve success; jinxing step-mother

Void Lines Causes and Effects in Feng Shui

Note:  The following is taken from the chapter "System of void lines" in the  "Feng Shui Toolbox: Sha-qi, Health/ Wealth and Career” course manual.  

“Void line” means “out of gua” (trigram) or outside a sector.  A house sitting on void line means it has no direction and also no 5-elements “qi” coming in.  Human beings are products of yin and yang. They need 5-elements qi to survive and prosper.  So if a house is located on a void line, it implies the occupants will have little or no luck, suffer sickness, suicide, murder, mental illness, chronic sickness, robbery, bankruptcy, incest, dwindling wealth and poor familial relationship.  It is like a house sitting on top of Mt. Himalaya with insufficient oxygen for the occupants.

We definitely should NOT put a door or house-facing on a void line.

Sometimes a house becomes sitting on a void line over a period.  It could be attributed to:

1. change of earth luck—“earth qi” or “dragon qi” runs away or expires
2. change in external environment, like suddenly a big building or sign is built in front of your property, blocking the flow of qi into your house.
3. change of indoor environment, like improper partitions and furniture arrangement
4. accumulated bad karma of occupants
5. occurrence of tragic event/s

However, temples are normally built on a void line because spirits and ghosts do not need 5-elements qi to prosper.   Spirits are "pure yang" and ghosts are "pure yin" entities.  Both do not need 5-elements qi to survive.  Specifically, temples are built on metal void line for fame and still letting their monks/ nuns survive without wealth.

There are different systems of void lines that can co-exist within the same house.  So a responsible Feng Shui practitioner should be familiar with the locations of these void lines.  It is not uncommon for some practitioners who have tried to remedy client’s void line problem by relocating the house to another void line!

It is recommended to stay away from plus or minus one degree from a void line, to compensate for the inaccuracy of most luopan measurements. The followings are different systems of void line: (Note:  there are 5+ types and only 2 are covered here) 

BAGUA VOID LINES 大空亡

These are the borderlines between the 8 trigrams.  This is also called "big void lines".  This is the worst type of void line and has no cure but moving away.

24 MOUNTAIN VOID LINES 小空亡

These are the borderlines between 24 mountains and also known as “Indistinguishable yin-yang”. This is also called "small void lines"  that may be curable.  Consult your Feng Shui master or take the "Feng Shui Toolbox" course for remedies. 

FEELING VOID LINE ENERGY

If you are a psychic or energy-sensitive, you may be able to "feel" or "sense" void energy.   House sits on "big void line" is easily detected by a psychic (and luopan too).  The feeling is similar to the inside of a haunted house-- you feel like suffocating inside and time seems to remain static.

Row houses in UK

I was walking with a psychic student at night in an UK street with row houses 10 years ago.  Most of the houses have similar facing direction.  We had played a "feeling qi" (energy) game while walking without looking at the houses.  We would stop at the house that has different "qi" than other houses in the same street.  Eventually we had stopped in front of a house and used a luopan to measure the facing direction.  This house was is in one of the "24 mountains void lines" or small void line!  Then we looked at the house-- it had a "for sale" sign.  The house was empty.

Maybe some day I can leak the secrets of feeling "qi" without being a psychic to you.

Stock-trading Feng Shui Secrets

The followings are some main points for people who do stock trading or speculation.  No detail explanations are included for brevity.

1.  Your computer desk should be placed in the "wealth position" of your house/ office or at least your personal "wealth position" (check my previous posts on how to locate your wealth position).
2.  The front space of your desk is called "ming-tang" which represents wealth potential in Feng Shui.  The bigger the better.  Hence, your computer desk should not face a wall or a narrow space.
3.  Your desk should not be under a beam.  It is bad for both wealth and health.
4.  The back of your chair should not be a window or empty space.  It should be a wall acting as back support for you.
5.  Your chair or front of desk should not be "clashed" (facing) by a door or sharp object like a wall edge.
6.  Your desk should not face a bathroom door.
7.  Your waste basket should not be put in the green dragon or left side of the desk.  Green dragon symbolizes helpful mentors and dislikes dirt.
8.  You should put some wealth symbols (in terms of your own culture) on your desk.  You may put natural crystal to energize wealth energy too.
9.  The desk location should be bright and not dim.
10.  Donate some money to charity whenever you hit it big to replenish your blessing in heaven.

Actually the above pointers are also good for any office desk placement.

Green Dragon and White Tiger-- Adult Edition 青龙白虎成人版

"Green dragon" and "white tiger" are two of the four major Feng Shui animals in classic Form Feng Shui.  The other two are black tortoise (back) and red phoenix (front).  Green dragon stands for the left side or protection of a house and white tiger the right side.

In terms of people, green dragon stands for men and helpful mentors whereas white tiger for women and "mean people".

Today is your lucky day.  Here are some secret meanings of green dragon and white tiger.  You can figure it out right the way if you remember the "No Bush" or "No more Bush" anti-Bush presidential campaigns in the early 2000's. 

In traditional China, women with no pubic hair are called "white tigers".  Traditional belief thinks white tiger women bring bad luck or jinxing their husbands.  Just a few weeks ago in Taiwan, a white tiger woman was berated by her husband for his bad fortune over the years.  This woman gets a hair transplant done in her private part area.

White tiger women's ideal marriage partners, according to traditional belief, are the "green dragon" men-- guys with no public hair.  Two jinxes neutralize each other and happy coexistence thereafter.

"How about those 'DIY white tiger women''?  Will they jinx their husbands?"

No jinx at all.  This is just one of the Chinese superstitions or folklore.  You probably jinx yourself more not washing your hands after going to the bathroom than being a white tiger or green dragon person.

"Fire Burning Heaven's Gate" in Feng Shui 火烧天门

Northwest or Qian direction is the "heaven" or ruler direction in "post-heaven" Bagua.  Hence Qian is also known as "heaven's gate" in Feng Shui.

Generally speaking, when a kitchen or stove is located in the NW or Qian sector of a house, it has "fire burning heaven's gate" Feng Shui problem.

Qian is metal in nature.  It stands for the head, respiratory system, career and oldest male in the house. With "fire burning heaven's gate" Feng Shui, the residents of this house are likely to suffer head injuries/ sickness, mental illness, respiratory problem, rebellious children, lung or brain cancer, fire and career problems.  The oldest male is the likely victim though young girl and boy can also suffer.

There are more than one type of "fire burning heaven's gate"

TYPES OF "FIRE BURNING HEAVEN'S GATE"
1.  Xuan Kong Flying Star versions:
a.  when 9-purple star flies to NW (Qian palace)
b.  when 6-white metal star flies to the south (Li Palace)

2.   Bazhai or 8-Mansions Feng Shui version:
--  when Wu-gui (5-ghosts, also known as Lian-zhen star, fire in nature) lands on NW.  For example, a house with Mao (East) sitting and You-facing (West).

3.  General Feng Shui versions:
a.  when kitchen, stove, fridge, TV, computer or electronic items  indoor OR outdoor tall objects like power tower, tall building, chimney....etc, are located in NW sector 
b.  when kitchen, stove, fridge, TV, computer or electronic items  indoor OR outdoor tall objects like power tower, tall building, chimney....etc, are located in the south sector. 

How do you fix this "fire burning heaven's gate" problem?  Obviously, move the kitchen or related hot items out of NW or the south.

"Ken, how about if we cannot relocate the kitchen or these objects, especially the outdoor ones?"

There are remedies and simple fixes for it that cost little or almost next to nothing.  Simply consult a Feng Shui professional or your teacher.
